If you've leaked a bit on the floor looking at the Super Sierra (meaning you're an old school mountain biker); that's OK. With this bike you are back with both feet on the ground. The Stonebreaker was Giant's offering at the other end of the spectrum.
You can clearly see that in the components on this bike. 18 gears, round steel chainrings, a simple Suntour group. Yet everything is there that made a bike into a mountain bike in 1989. Or rather ATB, because that's what it was called at the time.
Nice hip colors with 'flakes' and a real derailleur protector were supposed to comfort the owner for whom the Super Sierra was unaffordable...
