Miyata has been in the mountain bike market since 1983, with the RidgeRunner being the first model. In 1985 the TerraRunner was added to the lineup.
From 1986 these two models also appeared in the catalog of the Dutch Koga-Miyata brand.
Note also the derailleur: one of the first by Shimano with slant parallelogram.
